Business Development Manager
My client are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. This role has become available as the team are expanding.
Having been established for 25 plus years, they employ circa 70 staff in their UK Head office, although they do have other offices across the UK and the rest of the world and are a wholly owned subsiduary of a larger stock market listed company.

Ideal Business Development Manager:
Based in my clients head office in Surrey you must be willing to travel to Europe & North America 25% of the time.
As the Sales team is the engine that drives my clients global consumer reach in productivity-enhancing hardware and software. You will have:
In-depth knowledge and experience with the sales process
Excellent at lead generation, relationship building, and closing sales
A quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and a track record of success
Represent my client, with a comprehensive understanding of their offerings.
Research and identify new business opportunities - in Europe and North America - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services or new ways of reaching existing markets, working with local agents in different countries
Achieve company objectives through effective planning
Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts
Maintain professional and technical knowledge of products and services
Liaise with the finance team, projects, design, and operations as appropriate
Create a sales pipeline
Draw up customer contracts
Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships by understanding their needs
Track, analyse and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends
Provide management with feedback from customers
This role will require international travel to visit clients 25% of the time
Ideal Person:
Batchelors Degree level or equivalent
Commercially and contractually aware
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and outlook
Excellent customer service
Must be able to work on own initiative and work well within a team
Flexible approach to adapt to changing needs of the company and customers
Results orientated with strong analytical skills
Self motivated
Understanding of CRM systems and best practices
An ability to pick up technical knowledge quickly
Spanish as an additional launguage is desirable but not essential
Engineering background desirable but not essential

Generous annual basic salary circa 50-60k negotiable, plus uncapped commission and annual bonus.
